The Wild Center, a natural history museum in the beautiful Tupper Lake region of the Adirondacks, presents Wild Winter Weekends. The first special weekend, Survivor Adirondacks is January 13 and 14. Learn about hypothermia and primitive fire-starting techniques, check out the warmth of an igloo and how coyotes impact the landscape. Special events start at 12n Saturday, 1.13.07.
Open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 10a-5p offering a full schedule of regular museum activities, including trail hikes. Click HERE for all the details, and membership info. In the summertime we go fishing for bass in that region, and it’s awesome.
Update: Wild Center Receives Green Building Certification (2.12.08)
