On March 23rd, SolCool is doing a demo of its new Millenium 4.0, all DC low-power air conditioning and heating system (HVAC). The Millenium System also produces drinking water from condensation via its DC Aquacell water filtration system.

This Manufacturer Claims an SEER of 30 for the Millenium Version 4 1.5 Ton “Hybrid” a/c unit. This is seems very unlikely. The highest split system in current production the last i checked was a 19.5 SEER Trane Unit. A few manufacturers have 23 SEER units in preproduction.
30 SEER represents a masssive jump in efficiencey, and the manufacturer has no real explanation of what technology they are employing.
