Designer Nina Valenti of NaturevsFuture creates clothes that “express the constant struggle between nature and future, a tension between organic forces and technological ones.”
Mixing natural & sustainable fibers like organic cotton, organic wool, hemp, soy, bamboo, seacell® (seaweed), lyocell (wood pulp), Ingeo™ (created from corn), along with recycled fiber fabrics such as Polartec® & POP (made from recycled soda pop bottles) she creates pieces that are both futuristic and inherently classic.
This month NvF is participating in Ingeo Earth Month to help promote the 100% renewable fiber. Pieces made from the fiber will be featured on the NvF site in the next week or so.
NvF doesn’t have a lot of pieces online.
The shirring mock knit top on the right goes for $120.

It’s great to see more and more stylish sustainble clothing being made. I wish most of it didn’t have to be bought on-line – but I’m happy the options are increasing!
