Win Live Earth Tickets & Curb your Emissions – check it out!

The Windows Live Spaces Eco Trip
An environmentally-minded team is traveling cross-country by train and bicycle from Washington to New York City to get to the Live Earth concert at Giants Stadium. They are chronicling their travels on Windows Live Spaces.

To enter to win tickets to a Live Earth concert, contestants should add themselves as a friend to http://spacesecotrip.spaces.live.com/. Two “friends” will be chosen at random to win a pair of tickets, including hotel and airfare.

Wanting to spread the word on what can be done to save our planet, Microsoft/MSN (under their Windows Live Spaces banner) has created the Windows Live Spaces Eco Trip 2007.

What it is: A team of four is traveling across the country over a 5 week period from June 1st to July 7th, encouraging people to live “greener” lives.

The Windows Lives Spaces Eco Trippers are visiting a total of 10 cities over the 5 week tour, distributing collateral (reusable tote bags and coffee mugs, organic cotton t-shirts, etc) as they gave “green” tips.

The innovative concept tour launched June 1 in Redmond, Washington – home of Microsoft’s corporate headquarters – and will pass through San Francisco, CA; Salt Lake City, UT; Denver, CO; Omaha, NE; Janesville, WI; Chicago, IL; Cleveland, OH and Washington, DC. The Windows Live Spaces Eco Trip 2007 will wrap up in New York City, in time for the much-anticipated July 7 Live Earth Concert sponsored by MSN.

The Windows Live Spaces Eco Trip 2007 team is comprised of:
Marshana Richie (Miss Earth New York 2007)
Actor/environmentalist Michael Maguire
Native American environmentalist Leslie Gant
Filmmaker/blogger Mike Hedge.

Team members are traveling to major cities mostly via Amtrak train. While in each city, bicycles are the preferred mode of transport. The team will also spread the word in each location about Windows Live Spaces and encourage people to track their trip on the website www.spacesecotrip.spaces.live.com, as well as to create their own Live Spaces accounts.
