Trees for Textbooks –

TextbookFlix.jpgIt’s August… that means college-bound kids are gearing up for another year in the dorms and preparing to dish out loads of dough on text books that will hopefully be cracked open before exam week. To lessen the eco impact of the multi-billion dollar textbook industry, – a student marketplace and textbook rental service – has committed to plant a tree for every book rented in order to raise awareness for environmental issues.

Besides being an eco-friendly rental company, by partnering with new organization Eco-Libris, the “Chegg for Trees” campaign on TextbookFlix strives to cut back on the amount of trees lost annually—about one tree per year, per student.
