"Take the bus to school -you can reduce pollution, plus get to hang out with friends before and after class."

- What? yes, because, god knows, school buses don't put out more toxins or pollution than cars. Even though there are more cars taking kids to school, your average school bus produces more smog than a big rig.

"Toxic emissions from school buses have been reduced more than two percent nationwide, but the average school bus still remains one of the oldest vehicles on the road and releases nearly twice as much soot pollution per mile than a big rig."

Well that is a good way to put but there are so many more reasons to GO GREEN

1.) Don't toss gift bags in the trash-reduce wast by reusing them from year to year to dress up presents.
2.) An estamated 100 Billion plastic bags end up in land fills every year. Bring youe own tote to the store.
3.) Reduce garbage by using utensils that can be washed instead of tossing out plastic ones.
4.) When you are done IMing dont leve an away message. Shut down the computer to save energy.
5.) If you need a new computer purchase a laptop instead of a desk top-it will require less electricty.
6.)Reheat left overs in the microwave or toster oven. They use less energy then a conventional ovens.
7.) Fight toxins by planting peace lilies-they actually clean up indoor air.
8.) Take the bus to school -you can reduce pollution, plus get to hang out with friends before and after class.
9.) Switch to low-energy Fluoescent light bulbs. They last up to 10 times longer then regular light bulbs.
10.) On spring break, volunteer to plant new trees with friends. Check out arborday.org for a list of places close to you!
