...nothing to do with the article...

I agree that finding more effective ways of doing things is good but the "green movement" is slowly working its way towards forcing a lifestyle on people who enjoy things like Hotrods and food that is mass produced. The EPA is a govt. organization that is making LAWS that regulate what we, as free Americans, can and cannot do or enjoy. So when you are at your next protest rally, remember that for every hippy there is another FREE american who enjoys being in the wilderness, waiting to kill an overpopulated animal.

You are literal. Check GM's record on design innovation and then look at their balance sheet. Americans buy foreign cars because they want the best product. I fully support buying local and that includes cars if they are well designed. The point was that the Bush administration bends over backwards to protect Detroit automakers and big oil at the expense of the American public.

..and its 'accept' not 'except.

See I was trying to have some fun with this post and now you've made me start correcting spelling errors! Lighten up!

My comment in no way supported "George" his admin., or his policies. It simply refutes the notion that foreign automakers are any "greener" then the domestics. It is bad enough to be occasionally suckered by PR and false conventional "wisdom", It is quite another to except without question that any product produced by, for and within this country is at best junk, and at worst evil! Also, I am not privy to Chryslers or any other automakers archives, or what "they" have on speed dial, are you?

Chrysler sent the White House a letter 'asking' that they review the California emissions standards. The Japanese automakers don't have the White House on speed dial. Anyone that defends the Bushies record on the environment has either been locked in their garage for too long with that Yukon or has the flag draped over their head obscuring their vision.

"Neo-con Man of the Decade, Dick ‘WMD’ Cheney for his tireless work (in tandem with noted global warming experts Ford, Exxon and GM) in support of the EPA’s torpedoing of California’s tougher emissions laws". How could you exempt Toyota, Honda, Mazda, etc. Do they not build cars and Massive Trucks? Did they not lobby just as hard against increased fuel economy standards? Does not the eco-dream car Prius leave the same carbon foot print as a loaded Yukon? I think that not only are you ignorant, but your "green" is tinged with yellow.

Laural,
In response to your question, the simplest answer at this point would be that certified Organic SELLS. There are dozens of reports and statistics that back this up, just don't ask me to quote any because I don't keep track. There are thousands of people that will look at two similar products and pick the one that says 'Certified Organic' over the other at the same price simply because it's Organic. I'm among them. This is all the arguement that most business people need.

Can anyone answer the question "why should retailers put a "green" Certified Organic air spray, read diffuser or potpourri on the market. I am a buyer for stores and curious as to why. FDA dosent require this, correct? Why should I produce a green line of air care products. Help I need to convince my colleagues it is time.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Laural

Did you notice that the linked article "His proud stand against" (http://tinyurl.com/3e4zd9) was written almost 1200 days ago....2004. That means we have had over 3 years MORE of the George's anti-green action ravaging this planet.

In my mind the G.W. in Bush stand for Global Warming.
