Looks like our favorite computer company is dealing with its ‘green’ issue. The incredibly thin, MacBook Air, embodies Apple’s first big step in making a greener product. It consumes the least amount of power of any Mac and is also designed with the following features to reduce environmental impact:
- Highly recyclable aluminum enclosure
- Mercury-free LCD display with arsenic-free glass
- PVC-free internal cables
- Largely recyclable, low-volume packaging
- Meets ENERGY STAR requirements
- received a Silver rating from EPEAT (we’ll have to wait for that Gold rating)

Well done Apple. I love it and as soon as I can afford it I will be looking to buy one whilst making sure my old computer is passed on to a worthy cause. We need the major manufacturers of appliances to seize the initiative to make their goods as low energy and recyclable as possible. So many people want to reduce the energy used in the home but are not willing to sacrifice product quality. Apple are showing that it is possible to tackle climate change issues without compromise quality.
If you think that the communication device you have is the best then you are yet to see this . this is so expensive!! it costs about $3000. but it’s worth it!! i loved it, and i poured water on it, and it never broke!! I LOVE THIS MAC!!
