Love your spring water, but hate the plastic bottle it comes in? Arrowhead Brand Mountain Spring Water has come out with an eco-friendly half-liter bottle. It’s lighter, requires less energy in its making, is 100% recyclable, and uses 30% less plastic than the average half-liter bottle. And for your convenience, they’re now easier to carry around. To learn more about it, start at the source, and check out their environmental practices as well.

I used to work for Nestle Waters, the owners of this brand.. and I can tell you they are anything but environmental.
The sales reps drive around all day in v-6 mini vans, the water is shipped from BC, Canada into Northern California.. and there is a ton of “spoiled” water that goes directly to landfills from the customer, not recycled at all.
The newer plastic bottle is made because of cost reduction, not environmental concern. They are gaining market share due to low retail costs, but Coke (Dasani) and Pepsi (Aquafina) were making more profits than the family of Nestle brands.
Trust me..I tried to initiate environmental departments.. community activities and other things, all of which fell on deaf ears. I finally woke up, as I became more environmental myself (now I’m starting my own green company!) and realized the awful place my paycheque was coming from.
So please, don’t believe the stuff they now publish on their website.
Thanks for the firsthand info.
