the “Better” Plastic Water Bottle

EnvBtl.jpgCan’t kick the bottled water habit? New Wave Enviro Inc., an innovative, earth-friendly company, now produces a refillable corn-based water bottle with a built-in filter.

Its purpose? To reduce landfill waste and your intake of chlorine and other tap water toxins…at the same time! Bottles are available country-wide, sell for about $5.50 each, and can be refilled up to 90 times. That’s about 6 cents per purified bottle, and each bottle can biodegrade in 80 days in a commercial compost: a pretty good deal for you and the planet. Check it all out @ newwaveenviro.com.

They also offer stainless steel bottles… now why isn’t there a stainless steel bottle with a nice built-in water filter so we can refill with tap water, and keep re-filling, forever in the same bottle? We asked the company this very question, and they took the time to reply in our comment area!

Hello everyone, this is Dan with New Wave Enviro Products. We are always looking at new products and ideas and would love to have a filter for our line of stainless steel water bottles but we are currently running into a snag, a BIG snag, the water needs to be sent through the filter with enough pressure to get it through the filter, the corn resign bottle works perfect for this because it can be squeezed, I have tried and tried but in no way can I squeeze the stainless steel bottle I use, so for now I just fill it over and over with our 10 Stage Drinking Water Filter.
