ZiG bamboo display by Ryan Frank

image_1_.jpg

image_2__1.jpgAltCon friend, South African designer Ryan Frank, has announced that the renowned Milan gallery, Post Design, will now be representing him and featuring his work. Alberto Bianchi Albrici commissioned Ryan to design a piece that will be exhibited at his Milan based gallery, during and after the furniture fair in April.

Pictured is Ryan’s new creation, ‘ZiG’, a modular display/storage system made from solid bamboo. The unit’s castor wheels allow for ease of movement – linking these units creates a continuous array of striking negative spaces. ZiG will be available in a variety of naturally stained colours.

Ryan’s collection of ‘free-range’ furniture makes frequent use of sustainable and salvaged materials, and has subsequently received sustainability awards for 2006 and 2007 at the Annual Hidden Art Awards.

Fave Finds at Eco Tobi

AEcTbi1.jpgNews Flash — Ladies’ shopping site Tobi has made a smart move by listing their eco brands under the Eco Tobi banner. Just be careful not to slip into the non-eco zone, which you can easily do by clicking some of the “you may also like” options.

A great place to update head to toe on some personal faves — bling from Hovey Lee, Pangea Organics’ Ylang Ylang Body Shower Gel, Erbaviva’s travel tote, Juice Beauty or Nvey cosmetics. And pick up an organic cotton hoodie, tee or jeans from DelForte, Lara Miller, Loomstate or canvas flats from Toms.
