LOFT organic liqueurs

After another tough day of trying to correctly spell ’sustainability’, one often needs to relax, kick-back, listen to a little Pepe Deluxe and reflect. LOFT Organic Liqueurs offers some tasty organic liqueurs to get one in the mood. Here’s what they have to say for themselves:
- Inspired by the lemony sweet Italian drink Limoncello, (see Danny DeVito) LOFT liqueurs are made in a similar style, from the freshest, most flavorful, as-local-as-possible organic fruits and botanicals available.
- LOFT is the first certified organic liqueur in the United States. Produced without chemical pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, sewage sludge, bioengineering, or ionizing radiation. No additives, preservatives, artificial coloring or flavorings.
- LOFT uses new “Evolution” technology, a process from Evolution Beverages that “ages” wine, tones down the bite of spirits, improves flavor and smooths texture. Loft is the first alcoholic beverage in the U.S. using this technology.
- Sweetened with agave which comes from the same plant that gives us tequila. While supplemented with a small amount of organic regular sugar (as required by law), most of that taste on your tongue comes from the cactus.
LOFT supports small farms that can offer the freshest produce and ship it directly to their distillery.
They use biodynamically grown produce when possible.- LOFT uses tree-free paper labels made from bamboo-based paper, biodegradable inks and cardboard cases made from recycled materials.
LOFT currently markets three flavors, Lavender, Lemon Grass and Spicy Ginger. We at AltCon will endeavor to get a sample and taste-test these liqueurs for the better good.
Unfortunately for us easterners these guys are west coast - where you can buy

Would love to find more organic drinks in our area.
Discovered a wonderful organic tequila from a review by one of Reno’s best bloggers, Ryan Jerz at

It sounds like he discovered it from your site. After reading his review, we went to California to try it. That’s not why we really went but it was a good excuse. Guess we’ll have to make another trip to sunny California.
Make sure you stock up when you go there to justify the drive…or just have another drink to allay any residual enviro-guilt.
Cheers,
