As they say, everybody’s a little Irish today. Like many of you, we like to wear a bit o’ the green and do a lot o’ the green everyday.
On this beautiful day in NYC, take a walk up Fifth Ave and enjoy the bagpipes; or just use your legs instead of your car wherever you happen to be today, and enjoy the fresh air. Speaking of the city, don’t miss Murph’s, for an incredible list of month-long Saint Pat’s festivities.
Feeling thirsty? Go for a Guinness draught (my personal fave), at your local pub, or if you’re lucky enough to be in BC, try the real organic thing @ Crannog Ale’s brewery. Or check out RD’s list of tasty organic beer options before you hit your local pub or package store.
I’d like to send a special shout-out to Siel of the LA Times’ Emerald City. And our Seamus the Eco-friendly Dog sends happy woofs to all his Irish wolf hound friends today. For all you links hounds, here’s a golf course in upstate NY with a great deal of the emerald isle influence. (let’s get them on the green!)
Given me heritage and love of Ireland, I’d like to suggest that yee all take an afternoon break and have an Irish Coffee or green tea and piece of fresh Irish soda bread to lift your spirits. Here’s to the luck o’ the Irish to everyone today, Erin go bragh!
