Screw eco-guilt. That's for pantywaists who can afford their emo habits. I hate paper cups because they make good coffee taste like paper and give you the pleasurable experience of wearing a party hat at a birthday gig for a four-year-old.

Adult cups all the way. Unless you're still wearing a bib to dinner, time to lose the paper cups.

And if you are dealing with eco-guilt, are you out of your mind by considering BUYING MORE STUFF as the solution to the world's disposable consumption problem?? Say "no" to buying more garbage that will end up filling landfills. If you cannot ask for a real, adult cup from your coffee shop and must bring your own, just bring your own or at least go to the "reuse" step of picking something up from a garage sale first.

This cup measures 3.5 inches in diameter, and 6 inches high. I've contacted them to confirm the number of ounces, so I'll keep you posted.

Regarding your point of an establishment wasting a paper cup to measure your fill -- wouldn't it be nice if they simply kept a Pyrex measuring cup on hand for that purpose?

And if it's the same dimension as a typical carry out cup, maybe when you use it to request a beverage to go, the counter help won't create your drink in a paper cup and then pour it into your mug. That happens way too often. Apparently without their own paper cups, they don't know how much to pour.
