It’s a beautiful spring day in NYC; a long walk through Central Park might be great right about now. Pondering Zero Waste: Reduce Reuse Recycle & Compost.
It’s a dream come true. Imagine a world where all designers, producers and manufacturers create products and services with “zero waste” in mind. A “Zero Waste System©: an environmentally and economically sustainable system where resources are kept in the production cycle.”
As consumers, our voice is powerful. By rewarding those designers and manufacturers who are currently producing goods and packaging in a socially responsible way, we’re putting our money where our values are.
As cradle to cradle and sustainable manufacturing practices become a dominant factor in consumer buying decisions, more and more companies will move toward an eco-friendly approach to their product’s life cycle, because it makes good business sense. (more)
Time to end producing goods in a linear fashion and start moving in a “cyclical, more natural” direction — let’s zero in on zero waste everyday, and make it happen.
