Comments on: neuton electric lawn mower

Not very thrilled with the Neuton Battery-operated mower. It doesn’t mow very well if your grass gets taller than 2 or 3 inches or is thick. Today, the mower wouldn’t shut off. I had to unplug the key to get it to stop. When I tried to put the key back in, it sparked. It also started smking–not a good sign. I’m going to try the lawn mower again tomorrow and hope it works so that I can finish my mowing. So far, I also haven’t been took happy with the length of the charge or how long it takes to charge the batteries.

Hey Teri,
I’d contact Neuton asap. They profess to value customer loyalty above all else. I would presume they’ll send you a replacement battery or troubleshoot the problem.

I am very disapointed with this purchase. Have only mowed my lawn once completely. I have a very small yard but after the first mow, I can’t get any more than about 5 – 7 minutes on the battery! I am now charging one last time before I return it for a refund!! Maybe I got a dud!!

Hard to see a savings when the battery lasts only 2 years and the cost is $90 per battery

This sounds like a very good product, but still, the price is higher than comperable models of other brands, and I would still have to pay shipping. Also, it would be nice to have a “bundle pack”, if you will, so you include an extra battery with the mower, for maybe 15% or 20% off the price of the battery. I already have a good edger/trimmer.
