Chelsea Green Guides

Chelsea Green Guides are small in size but packed with useful eco-friendly info. Their size is so handy you can slip one in your pocket and read it while on the train, lounging at the beach or sitting on a park bench; (each guide is 4.5 inches wide by 6.5 high). My current collection includes: (more)
- Biking to Work
- Greening Your Office (from cupboard to corporation: an A-Z guide)
- Water (use less - save more)
- Energy (use less - save more)
- Composting (an easy household guide)
- Reduce, Reuse Recycle (an easy household guide)
The Biking to Work publication was an easy, breezy read. Filled with encouragement, help and advice, author Rory McMullan made me want to get a job just so I could bike to it (humor here). Even if biking to work may not be in your future, Rory so thoroughly covers the topic of biking you can apply his words of wisdom to recreational biking as well. These points jumped out at me: “On average, cyclists: add over 2 years to their life expectancy, have the general fitness and health of someone 10 years younger and are 50% less likely to experience depression.”
I also loved Composting. With A to Z tips and cute illustrations, I’m more motivated than ever to notch up my commitment to this sensible practice.
With photos, graphics and a well-organized mix of environmental facts and practical tips, Chelsea Green has created wonderful bite-sized, user-friendly eco guides to everyday living.
