Shea Terra Organics - healing and helping

Asheatra1.jpg

I recently tried some great skincare products from socially minded, aSheaTra4.jpgten-year-old, Shea Terra Organics. Going native is a basic tenant of this responsible company — by purchasing exotic oils and herbs from the Miombo forest they help the local economy, and save precious trees from foreign logging and local slash and burn farming. Shea Terra supports the notion that “whatever happens in Africa affects the entire world.” They strive to instill hope and empower a people with the means to change. “A portion of the proceeds supports self empowerment projects throughout Africa.”

asheatra2.jpgA special treat was trying their Bourbon Vanilla Body Butter. It contains 40% organic Shea butter and there’s not a lot of water in the base so it really locks-in moisture. I like how dense the product is — unlike some brands, this is not a whipped-up cream that seems to disappear … you won’t hit the bottom of the container before you know it. So a little goes long way, and that’s good value ($18.00, 8oz.) Also, when applied it’s long-lasting — at 3pm I could still feel the softness on my hands from my 7am application.

Check out their organic, wild harvested secret ingredients and whole herbs, sourced from a pristine African landscape, and the exotic Shea Terra Originals. find more info @ Shea Terra Organics

Please note that some of the product suppliers to Shea Terra Organics have terminated their relationship with this company as a result of non payment for previous orders

I love Shea Terra Organics’ products. I use the Black Soap Elixir (amazing for breakouts) and Shea Nilotica, which is really soft and creamy.
