worx cordless electric grass trimmer

Weed whacking can be dirty business. If you’ve ever poured gasoline down your hi-tops, lost hearing in one ear, or pulled a triceps muscle struggling to start your whacker you may want to consider going battery-powered. Gasoline grass trimmers pack much more power than battery powered numbers but create a bunch of noise and air pollution, not to mention spilled gasoline, etc. Going electric and cordless can be both user- and eco-friendly.
This Worx 10 in. 18volt trimmer won the Popular Mechanics Editor’s Choice Award and has some nice features. It weighs less than a gallon of milk, has a no-bump auto-feed line system, push button start, charges in an hour and last for 45 minutes.

Few years ago I switched from using gasoline powered trimmers/edgers to electric…haven’t looked back since.
I order, from Worx phone line, a GT Grass Trimmer model 151.5 with a Lithium Ion Battery and an 30 minutes charger.
I was order on the June 18, 2009, put on UPS on June 19, 2009 and receive in Northern New York on June 26, 2009. The Item was ship from California (ITEM IS TOTALY MADE IN CHINA).
The phone service (Christine) was verry nice and take time to explain the paiement schedule (3 paiement of 49,99$). THere was no shipping fees since a lot of site offer free Shipping, the accept to remove it. I order 6 spool in the same time and they add 6.11$ even they put it in the same box, no big deal but surprising.
When I track the package (Easy method from their web site) I notice that the price as been change for two paiement of 74$. I wrote a e-mail for wich I receive NO ANSWER. I look the next day and the price as bee modify af again for one of 74 and a remaining balance of 83 dollars. I call them and they offer me an explanation, so that the first paiement will be 73$ and the following will be 41 each. They promise that they will ESCALATE the problem to UPPER MANAGEMENT (what a funny way to talk) but they never return it even after 96 hours. I will complain to the proper US authority about it.
I finaly receive the unit wich was the one I order. Verry bizzare since the site mention since June 15 that the Unit is out of stock. I mention it and, still at this date, it still out of stock. I do a first try, the unit work well for 30 minutes, no longer. I have to tell that think is a GRASS TRIMMER, not a BRUSH CUTTER. So, if you want do cut BRUSH, by a brush cutter and stop complaining about the fact that this grass trimmer is not enough powerfull, get real and make comment that reflect your usage, be honest.
Finaly, I will give second opinion after a month of use. If I just made my decision on comments that I read I’ll never buy it. I can say something, their is a lot of customer that are not honest. I experience the samething with Neuton Mower. In fact, Neuton are verry good mower and the service after sale, even I bought from Sears is exceptional, I canot say the same from WORX wich have one of the worst customer service. Hope I dont have to use the waranty with Worx.
