lock in solar power savings with Sun Run

Our never ending search for innovative home energy solutions has uncovered San Francisco based, Sun Run Solar Service. Sun Run has developed a unique approach to residential solar installation that enables people to take their homes solar and off grid without buying and maintaining their own solar power installation.

You sign an agreement with Sun Run and pay an upfront fee that is usually estimated to be less than 50% of installation and equipment costs (the percentage goes down as the size of the installation goes up), and Sun Run installs and maintains a solar power system for your home.
The upfront fee is paid down by the savings on your monthly electrical bill, much as if you installed a solar power system yourself and you avoid buying dirty, expensive electricity from your local power company. Depending on the size of the system (you choose based on price and preference) you may still get a portion of your home’s power from your local utility company but your monthly bill is reduced by anywhere from 15 to 100%.
Sun Run Solar Service delivers:
- Free maintenance, monitoring and guaranteed performance for the life of the agreement
- The lowest total cost upfront and over time, with no hidden fees or surprise billing
- A pay-for-performance, fixed rate way to go solar. You pay for what you use, not a monthly payment.
Sun Run has contracted installation and maintenance to several established solar installers and is now servicing much of California and they have transfer options if you should sell your home.
Sun Run appears to be an innovative way to go off-grid and lock in home electrical costs, especially in a state like California where sunshine is almost as plentiful as the power company’s lust for price increases.
