A natural, eco-friendly, rinse-free sanitizer to the rescue.

According to manufacturer, CleanWell, this hand sanitizer is a 99.9% germ-killer that’s alcohol-free. I’ve used the pocket spray, made from a patented combo of White Tea infused with Aloe, and Ingenium, botanically sourced essential plant oils. With a refreshing smell and no trace of a sticky residue on my hands it gets a definite, green thumbs-up for delivering feel-clean-sensations. (L, above)
I’ve also tried their all-natural, anti-bacterial Ginger Bergamot hand wash, a lightweight foam that leaves hands feeling clean, moisturized and great-smelling. Try it and you’ll love it. (R, above)

You might want to check the product efficacy tests..No doubt this is an organic product, but the efficacy spectrum i.e. bacteria/virus-killing is limited–when compared to other alcohol-free products.
Most of the alcohol-free alternatives contain the organic compound benzalkonium chloride –a widely-accepted antiseptic (used in Bactine, feminine hygiene products, amongst many other consumer health care products)..Don’t misinterpret the word organic..as manufacturers don’t position it as “organic” in the ‘green’ sense of the phrase–but when comparing lengthy list of germs/bacteria, its very likely that CleanWell’s product may not compare..this product is also 2x-3x more expensive when compared to products such as Soapopular, HandClens, or others that incorporate BAC.
Hi, Maureen. Thanks for taking time to write about us.
I’d like to respond to the comment. I work for Cleanwell. We test our products at a top U.S. Lab – ATS laboratories, this is the same lab used by leading hand sanitizer brands. The efficacy tests prove that our product kills 99.99% of MRSA (drug resistant staph), Salmonella, Pseudomonas, Staphylococcus aureus, etc, etc.
Also our hand sanitizer is delivered via a spray which delivers 4x more applications per ounce than gels.
Thanks again Maureen!
Holly,
That’s a nice answer but I think the important point about Cleanwell is that it is not a viricide.
So flu, this product will not provide any protection at all against avian or swine flu.
Correct?
Of course, neither will alcohol based products.
Holly, If CW tests in the same labs the “other sanitizers” test, this means you are testing the product on its ability to kill germs on a flat surface, such as glass slide or a counter top. Everyone knows this 99.99% killing of bactiera perfomred by the other guys isn’t done on a live, variable surface, such as human skin. (see About.com) Please reply if you can still find this site.
