    Household Water Conservation Kit

Living and running a business out of an older home quickly gives you a crash course on utility usage and conservation efforts. For the environment and the whopping monthly bills if you don’t.

We have some of the kit, but adding more echo/budget friendly methods and means wouldn’t hurt.

Lo-Flow Garden Hose Nozzles are definitely worth a try. I know I waste more water with outside projects and don’t really know a way to cut back. It seems people always get carried away with a hose outside in the hot summertime and this would help conserve a little.

Why limit to just one? The Recycled computer paper is a must - how much paper do we waste printing out a map before we go to someplace new? Or the grocery list? RECYCLE! We already use low flow shower heads - but a low flow rain shower? Brilliant! I make many of my cleaners, but I never thought of a walnut scrubber. I’ve found a new place to shop! Picnic sampler, please. Ok, stopping here. Am crossing over to mental greediness. Great stuff!

I saw Sandra Bullock on Oprah the other day and she was talking about how she had tried to make her new restaurant “green” and showed some utensils that had been made from vegetables. I was so fascinated that I started looking for green sites on the web. I know now that I’ll never get through all the wonderful ideas that I’ve found so far, but I am starting with the cleaning supplies I use. I would love to try out the all purpose cleaners found on this site as well.
