Cofounded in 2005 by husband and wife team, Alicia Lai and and Van Tran, U.K.-based Bourgeois Boheme believes “that one should not trade ethics for fashion, nor sacrifice style for conscience.” Vegan fashionistas rejoice. Every product in their line is fair trade made in Portugal, and free of animal ingredients — from cruelty-free footwear, bags, belts and wallets to cosmetics. Their Earth Goddess collection features black micro-fibre, an 80% biodegradable leather look-alike that is entirely animal friendly and their casual flats and sneakers feature natural rubber and sisal soles.
From their exclusive Boutique line for men and women, here are some fab ethical finds: the perky, handmade Penelope wallets (£32); Ertha mary-jane, made of hemp, with removable strap (£60); and just in time for fall’s big focus on belts, the Bau Belt (black or brown, £40) with a slinky fold-over style. See what’s in store for guys, here.
