Sustainable design shop Roscoe Jackson makes the Possum recycled plastic chair and table, both are manufactured from 100% recycled HDPE (like milk jugs) and feature corrosion resistant stainless steel fasteners.


These cleanly modern pieces are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Dense rubber feet are suitable for most flooring. Handmade in Chicago and featured at the Sprout store in Chicago and @ sprout.com.
The chairs go for $285 ea. and the table will run you $198.

This another example of transforming a landfill-bound item (in this case an old Barry Manilow album or the like) into something useful. Vinylux specializes in stuff created out of old records. I’d call this upcycling but that really depends on the recording artist involved.
