The new Aloe Vera Body Cleanser from Kiehl’s is the company’s first biodegradable offering, and the first beauty product with McDonough & Braungart’s Cradle-to-Cradle Certification. The company teamed up with eco-action guy Brad Pitt to develop the product and will donate all of the net profits from its sale to support the work of JPF ECO Systems, a charitable partnership created by Kiehl’s and Pitt that aims to maximize awareness of environmental sustainability.
While we recognize and appreciate the company’s eco initiatives, we wish Kiehl’s would go the extra mile and find substitutes for some of the artificial fragrances and preservatives they’ve included in the formula, such as potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate. But if avoiding parabens is your main concern, then wash away! You won’t find them in this Kiehl’s product.
