The Seeker, I am trilled that you have found some inspiration. I think one of my favorite parts of the whole process is having other people at the restaurant watch you as you whip out your own containers, or observing your own friends start to follow your drift. And Candide, what a great idea! Not only helpful for the environment, but also great for minimizing frustration when your plastic utensils become inefficient in the face of poking or cutting objects of greater density. Thanks both of you for your comments!

Great advice -- as good or better than bringing your own shopping bags to the store. We also keep bundled sets of cloth napkins and nice utinsiles in our cars so that when we eat out we can minimize paper/wood/plastic/washwater waste.
