Hybrid and electric cars are just great. Did you know that there is already a technology in development which makes a battery work for 20 years without recharging? Feel free to visit our blog Innovative News: http://www.sikantisearth.com/earth/?p=232

Hey Alex,
The VOLT isn't a hybrid in the traditional sense. Its gas engine acts as a generator to charge the battery when it runs down. It runs electric all the time. For longer trips it will get over 50mpg. The hybrids that don't plug-in change back and forth between electric and gasoline power and have regenerative breaks and other tech to recharge the battery.

If I were to buy a hybrid that certainly the one I would (afford) buy. And believe me the looks are very important for me. Just as much as the specs, which seem to be great.
