designboom green earth competition results

Designboom recently completed its green earth graphic design competition. The challenge is set forth below, with the first place entry by Korean designer, Ji Yoon Yang, titled ‘greening’ pictured above:
‘green’ - create a graphic artwork that illustrates environmental protection and how human beings and nature could coexist in a greener world.
‘earth’ - give the gift of a greener world at Christmas. Create a graphic artwork that will make this festive time of the year a moment to consider what we can do to help our planet’s survival. You can use iconic Christmas motifs in your design for example reindeer, trees, etc.

I love the thumbprint cards, although I’m not sure how they tie in with Christmas. They definitely personalize the “greening” process though. Plus they are just simple and beautiful.
Maybe it just needs a little recycled tinsel.
