I know there are a lot of naughty Christmas-stocking-lovers out there. Here are a couple of handmade, one-of-a-kind stockings. At left is a stocking made from an old cotton crazy quilt. The one on the right is created from a remnant of blue-toned lace, a blue velveteen cuff, and silver satin lining.
For those of you deserving reward, these stockings are slightly oversized to hold a considerable amount of holiday graft. Made from vintage, remnant and recycled materials.
The rustic crazy quilt stocking costs $10 @ thehemline’s estsy shop and the fancier stocking (above right) goes for $26 @ spongetta’s etsy shop – or use these as inspiration for your own DIY creations.

recycling is very important. If you follow the US Green Building Council’s provisions, you would see there is an escalation. The most important is reusing old items, then recycling, then discarding them. If we can first look for more places to reuse items before they go through any recycling processes, it will conserve energy.
