i would love this
Hand wash dishes
Reusable bottles are so god for the ecology
we’ve put bricks in all of our toilet tanks and installed reduced flow faucet heads
We have restrictive shower heads in the bathrooms.
We put a brick in our toliet
Flow restrictor on all faucets
I turn the water off while brushing my teeth and make sure that my kids do that also. I only run my washing machine when I have a full load of laundry and only run my dishwasher when full.
Our tub is huge, so we are taking more showers….even the kids! Thanks!
I turn off the water while brushing my teeth.
To conserve water – and lower my skyrocketing bills – I installed lower-flow showerheads, faucet attachments, and put in a more efficient toilet. These simple steps have worked wonders!
Our family saves water by taking shorter timed showers and making sure to never leave water running. Thanks!
I turn off the water, when I brush my teeth.
I have a showerhead that limits the GPM of water run. I don’t buy plastic water bottles, but I am looking for a new water filter, so this is an amazing prize!
I only use as much as needed.
We don’t let water run when washing our face, shaving, or brushing teeth.
Limit showers
Don’t buy bottled water but go and get my 5 gallon jug refilled ath the home environment center.
I handwash all my dishes.
I don’t really find the dishwasher neccessary.
always have a full load of laundry instead of a partial load
I carry a thermos with water instead of bottled water.
Thanks for the giveaway…We wash our dishes by hand (and use the “grey water” to water plants in our garden in the summer).
Also, when I lived alone before I was married I followed the following self explanatory maxim in my bathroom: “If it’s yellow, it’s mellow; if it’s brown, flush it down !!!”
Everyone takes baths now and we only fill the bathtub about half full. We also have a garden but instead of watering it with the hose so we would have so much wasted water, we fill buckets and then water it by hand. We do the same thing with our flowers and shrubs. It might take more time but it saves so much more water this way.
I don’t water my grass if I don’t have to (usually not at all, I don’t need to mow very often either.)(Electric Mower no gas)
Turn off water when brushing teeth
Well I commence what we sailors of the Military nature call “sea showers” You turn on the water enough to get wet(30 seconds if that), soap up, then rinse off(total time in shower 2 minutes). Same applies for shaving, brushing teeth and dishes. Its simple and effective.
Use barrels to catch rainwater for use in watering garden and help in turning compost pile.
i usually turn off the water when i’m brushing my teeth!
Brita
I take shorter showers, and I do not leave the faucet running when I wash the dishes.
I always turn off the faucet when brushing my teeth.
Fast showers and turn off water when brushing teeth- only full loads in washer and dishwasher.
I have purchased two water barrels from my water company to catch rain water
I drink tap water, not bottled!
I set a timer for the kids’ showers.
I have a rain barrel to collect rainwater for outside use for lawns. I do laundrey in cold water. I don’t let water run when doing dishes or brushing my teeth.
I try to use less water when bathing.
Always wait until there is enough laundry or dishes to do a full load, and do not run the water while brushing teeth.
No watering of plants, and taking short showers
To conserve water I take shorter showers.
I use reusable stainless steel water bottles instead of plastic
My property is desertscaped with a combination of native plants and non-water consuming rocks.
We are always careful with water usage. We try to make sure the dishwasher is as full as possible before running, so that we only have to run it every 2-3 days. We never leave water running while brushing teeth, or washing dishes. And, I know some people may think it’s gross, but we’ve taught our kids that rhyme we used to say when we were young, referring to the toilet: “If it’s yellow, let it mellow, if it’s brown, flush it down”. It just seems so wasteful to flush the toilet 4 times in a row!
Take 3 minute showers!
I have reusable water bottles so I dont have to buy throw away ones.
We have really had a pretty bad drought this year so we are doing all that we can to conserve water.
A few of those things include:
Turning off the water while brushing our teeth.
Taking showers instead of baths and turning off the shower head while soaping.
Not washing our cars at home or watering outside plants.
Making sure that we are only washing full loads of laundry.
These are just a few of the things that we do that truly help conserve water.
Thank you so much for offering this wonderful giveaway.
i only run my dishwasher when it is totally full :)
we use reusable water bottles and turn off the water while brushing our teeth
I don’t water the lawn and I reuse whatever I can.
We conserve water by showering together!…haha…buuuut we do turn off the water while brushing teeth, we dont own a dishwasher and we have an efficient washing machine!
