With winter’s winds, chilly temps, and dry heat inside, putting my best face forward is no easy feat. Although organic yogurt, cucumber, lemon and honey are steadies for my usual DIY face-saving concoctions, work sometimes demands my trying fresh skincare options that are available ready-made. (I know, life is tough.)
For the past few days I’ve been using Alchemilla “ultra-pure skincare” — created with biodynamic, organic and wild-harvested plant ingredients either grown on their own herb garden in Oregon, or
from carefully screened suppliers.
Since my skin was crying out for some special treatment, I decided to try their face masque. As directed, I first cleansed with the Exfoliating Face Wash Cream (has a soft, grainy texture), and then smoothed on the Gentle Plant Purifying Masque (waited 12 minutes). After rinsing with water, my skin really felt clean and silky smooth. Then with a ball of cotton, I dabbed on Clarifying Facial Toner; very refreshing. The routine was completed in two easy steps, by first applying: Antioxidant Concentrate Serum, (my skin drank in this hydrator), and lastly, Rehydrating Day Care Cream. The Day Care Cream was, as described, “It glides on and soaks in beautifully without leaving any greasy shine.” (for all skin types.)
Overall, I was very pleased. It’s great when you find a line of body-friendly skincare that’s effective, and easy on both the planet and your purse.

Another great LOCAL organic skincare company that is certified is MADE FROM EARTH. I have been using their products for the last 6 months – and now stopped. . . Because my skin has naturally improved itself and I have seen a real decline in the amount of wrinkles on the side of my eyes. I would recommend the “VITAMIN ENHANCED FACE FIRMING SERUM”. I thought I was pretty happy with other products I had had success with… but MADE FROM EARTH blew me away! I love their products! I sswweeaarrr my skin has toned up, evened out, and is super smooth. I feel great about the way my complexion looks with just some”Vitamin Enhanced Moisturizer” and “the Green Tea Toxin Cleanser” . My skin looks natural, not all made up.
Nothing is perfumed which I like but I wouldn’t say any of these smell badly. The glass jar feels a little warm for a minute or two, and the green jar is a little tingly for a minute or two… I put this stuff on my face, neck, and breast bone. Great stuff!!
