You might have caught a glimpse on HSN of supermodel turned raw enthusiast, Carol Alt, spreading the word about her new skincare line called Raw Essentials.  Likely to be, the next big thing.

What’s the RAW deal?  Carol’s line is created from one hundred percent certified raw, active ingredients derived from the Earth. Skin should love this because, “raw skin care products allow your skin to absorb all of the antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and essential fatty acids that are necessary for glowing, healthy, young-looking skin.”

How it works.  Antioxidants combat free radicals that we’re exposed to every day.  Vitamins work to correct dull, damaged skin.  Minerals such as Sulfur are an essential component of connective tissue that produces soft, elastic skin. Fatty acids are nature’s perfect moisturizer, helping to hydrate and smooth skin. And why do we care?  Our body absorbs up to sixty percent of what is applied to skin.  (more via rawessentials.com)

Naturally, there’s no nasty stuff — pertrochemicals, synthetic chemicals (fertilizer, pesticides, antibiotics, food additives), parabens or synthetic preservatives, synthetic additives (artificial colors and fragrances) or fillers in the “beyond natural and organic” line.

Carol’s inspiration for developing the brand?  Switching to a raw food program and realizing great health benefits — she’s followed a raw path for the past ten or so years.  Nine Essential products for face and body, (priced at $19.50 – $34) – find @ rawessentials.com.
