After hearing such remarkable success stories and seeing what the living foods lifestyle can do for the looks of Hollywood superstars, you might find yourself inclined to jump right into the raw foods bandwagon.

But before you throw your pots and pans to the street, to take a few moments to understand how to get the most out of a raw/living foods journey.
Just as the forefathers of the “organic” movement would choke upon the words frozen &/or microwave-ready being combined with “organic”, living food’s forefathers (and mothers) would turn over in their graves if they could see what was consistently entering the mouths of many modern day “raw-foodists.” The health which eventually floods a body regularly consuming raw foods is due to not only to the alkalizing effect that fresh produce creates within the body (while safely delivering vital nutrients, enzymes, and water), but also to the restriction of large quantities of sugars, fats and processed goods. This latter category tends to put an ixnay on the regular consumption of certain raw bars and numerous raw restaurant menu items composed of mostly nuts and dried fruits. While they are certainly fine in modest amounts and especially when the need arises for more traditional “comfort food,” these raw meals will potentially cut a huge hole in your pocket book, while delivering you away from your ideal health or weight.

Moreover, the raw foods lifestyle is about detoxifying your life. This means ditching not only foods that don’t serve you well, but also polluted thoughts, air, and water; personal care items, cleaning products, etc – all the things potentially dosing you with additional man made mutagens and creating an acidic environment within your body (remember that it was the demonstration that cancers can only survive in an acidic environment that won Otto Warburg a Nobel Prize in 1931). Above all, one must incorporate exercise into their life for increased bodily function, oxygen consumption, and a positive state of mind during these remarkable RAWnovations.

Raw foods certainly have a place in a healthful diet — and certainly the fewer processed foods the better, but maybe we should be talking about whole foods rather than only raw foods. Some foods, like tomatoes, have nutrients that are more accessible after being cooked. Tomatoes will lose some Vit. C when cooked, but other goodness is released. The lesson as I see it, is whole foods in a balance between raw and cooked.
hopefully there is people that the raw food life style for their health. not for the latest diet. its all about life changing not diet/weightloss
