UPDATE: It’s official – Congratulations to CONNIE W. of Ottawa! Thanks to everyone for participating. Didn’t win this one? Don’t despair, check out our next Great Green Giveaway, in honor of Mother’s Day.
(original post follows…)
Continuing our springtime trend, this Great Green Giveaway is generously sponsored by LEHR, an innovator in eco friendly lawn care. One lucky winner will be able to beautify their lawn by using this Detachable Curved Shaft: Propane Powered Eco Trimmer.

Rather than spill gas on the lawn and spew toxic fumes around the neighborhood, a cleaner, easier to operate alternative is here — the LEHR Eco Trimmer…the world’s first propane-powered lawn and garden tool. The Eco Trimmer has all the power and performance of a gasoline trimmer — minus the detrimental pollution and emissions associated with dirty gasoline engines.
It has zero ozone depleting potential, zero evaporative emissions, 96% fewer carcinogens and 97% fewer particulates than its gasoline counterpart, and already exceeds the EPA’s 2011 regulations for home and garden equipment.
Fueled by propane and its patented, “Twist ‘n’ Go” fueling system, this baby will run for about 2 hours on a single propane canister, requires very little maintenance and starts at the push of a button. Empty canisters are 100% recyclable. Learn more @ goLEHR.com.
If you don’t have a yard but know someone who does – this clean and green lawn and garden tool would make a great gift.

This would motivate me to get the weeds from around the trees. I do not like running the gas trimmer with this i wont have to worry about poluting the air more.
My husband bought a very loud gas-powered trimmer to my dismay a year ago. I’d love to replace it with this propane-powered one for Father’s Day.
This would be an OUTSTANDING prize for me.
Well, seeing as I cannot keep my husband from constantly tinkering in the yard in the summer, this would be perfect for him!
I would love to win this, my husband’s gas trimmer is to heavy and sometimes hard to start. This trimmer sounds perfect.
my equipment runs on gasoline right now, this would be a lot better!
This would not only make my lawn care greener by replacing smelly gasoline with propane, but it’s lightweight enough that I could use it, get some exercise and give my husband a break. Thank you for the wonderful giveaway!
My family and I just moved into our first house (with a real yard!) and we are dreading buying one of those stinky gas trimmers. This propane alternative would be great for us!
No more fuel/oil mixing. No more clogged filters. No more fuel spills. Is this a dream? Make mine green.
One way we have supported going green has been to select an electric trimmer while virtually all of our neighbors use gasoline-operated trimmers. Since our neighbors as a whole are an inquisitive lot, if we were to have a propane trimmer it would virtually do its own advertising and perhaps encourage others to Eco-Trim! :)
I would use this to start an eco-friendly landscaping service

I learned that propane cannister lasts two hours and is much cleaner than my gasoline trimmer, so this would make me greener when doing my yard work.
Thanks for the giveaway!

It’s ecofriendly!
My old trimmer broke and now my lawn sucks.
I’ve never tried a propane-powered trimmer, but this thing looks awesome!
This would really help out with getting rid of weeds and high grass in our yard!
Being that propane is used for this it is cheaper cost wise to run than using gas. That is green cash, saved.
i like this idea propane powered
easier than going to the gas station to get fuel
also save the earth-less pollution
love to win this
i will be the envy in my neighborhood
first person here-propane power
they see me with that and they will all want one
No emissions would make mine greener!
What a great idea. I have been looking for ways to go greener and this would help alot.

I would love to win this cool prize.
This would be so much greener as all of my lawn tools are currently gasoline fueled and propane is much cleaner than gasoline.
This thing looks awesome! It would be nice to finish my yard without the battery going dead on my crappy cordless and be environmentally friendly at the same time!
Thanks so much for the chance, we would love this because our gas trimmer just died, and propane would be way easier!
This trimmer has less emissions than my current gas trimmer.
Pick Me, Pick Me
This Eco Trimmer would make my lawn car more eco friendly because I could trim under my back neighbors fence so they no longer spray grass poison all over. Thank you!
I could definitely use this ‘trimmer’!
I’m currently using a yard trimmer powered by ‘gasoline’.
Switching to a ‘propane fueled’ trimmer would save me $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and would fit perfectly into my family’s newly instituted ‘eco-friendly’ lifestyle!
Thanks for the ‘great’ giveaway offering and good luck to all!
I went to golehr.com and while I was there I learned that if the tool you are buying can have attachments they have made it way greener by allowing you to attach other companies attachments … way green.

My husband would love this! We are always looking for new things to try. Thanks for a great giveaway =)
Thanks for the contest!
My battery trimmer died and I never could get a gas trimmer to work for long. This sounds like just what I need.
sounds great please count me in, I would love to win this!
My son is so excited, he is finally old enough to mow the lawn and he has trouble with our old gas trimmer. This would be a great surprise for him!
We have a small yard and this would be absolutely perfect. Propane is much greener than gas.
This would allow me to really spruce up my lawn because it is light weight and easy enough to handle that I can get into the nooks and corners of my backyard more then I can with a conventional old fashioned tool

Currently we use an electric trimmer in an attempt to be greener… WOW are they a lot of work…the cord is short and or you trip over it which is not a good thing… In the end DH brings out the old gas powered one and ooo I refuse to let the pups or kids outside yucky.. This propane trimmer would mean we could stop using both of the trimmers we have and keep the yard healthly and perhaps plant some more plants and trees…
Less air pollution, lightweight , would love to own this. Thanks for the giveaway!
There would be much less harmful emissions from the propane as opposed to the gas/oil mix used in my current trimmer.
We have over an acre and this trimmer would really help.
It would be greener to use this trimmer instead of a gasoline powered one. And it would make my lawn look so very nice.
great contest!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My husband’s gas trimmer died at the end of last year. I would love this for him for father’s day!
