thanks. I'll let you know how it works when I get a chance to try it out. I just got my teeth cleaned this week and I'm curious to try out new toothpaste recipes while they're still in that fresh condition.

It's very simple:
3 Tablespoons Baking Soda
10 drops of Tea Tree oil
10 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil
it lasts about 2 weeks.
Let me know what you think! It doesn't taste like much, but it should make that smile brighter, lighter and cleaner.

do you know the proportions she uses? I'm interested in making this but I'd love to know how much of each thing to use. I even have a little glass jar I think would be the perfect size all ready to be put to use.

Tea Tree Oil works as what I'd call an antibacterial agent. It's good for keeping gums healthy.

The environmental benefit to the DIY approach is that there's no empty tube being tossed into a landfill.

Hey Maureen you always find the most interesting posts - love your style! :) Very nice idea on the baking soda - I have tried brushing with baking soda before but never tried adding tea tree oil and peppermint oil. What benefits other than minty fresh breath do they add?
