In true upcycling style, Ecoist continues to create eco fashion from trash — in this instance, by weaving misprints and overages of Disney candy wrappers into signature, functional handbags and coin purses.
More than 250,000 un-recyclable wrappers otherwise headed for a landfill were repurposed to fabricate the “collection.” sweet. Limited edition bags of Mickey and friends, (above), are available at the World of Disney store on Fifth Ave, NYC, and at select locations at Disney World Florida; ($22-$54).
