Hammocks may conjure up visions of tropical, white-sand beaches and palm trees, but nothing beats the convenience of having one in your own backyard, where you can while away a lazy summer day with a good book followed by a long nap. You’ll certainly rest easy in a hammock made of eco-friendly, natural fabrics, such as this one available through GreenFeet.

The bed itself is a strong, pinwheel weave made from 50-percent unbleached hemp, and 50-percent unbleached flax, all grown without pesticides. The ropes connecting the hammock bed to the stand are made of hemp and waxed to keep the ropes from fraying. Measuring 7′ x 5′, the swing is big enough for two and strong – it can safely hold up to 450 lbs. Hanging hardware is included and it’s made in the USA by a producer-owned cooperative, with pay exceeding Fair Wage Guide minimum standards. Happy napping!
