Herman Miller’s new Setu chairs won a Gold Award at the recent NeoCon World Trade Show.
The chair, which is designed for multipurpose use in conference rooms or home offices, is also made for people to sit upon for longer periods of time. Setu is constructed with one continuous seat and back, utilizing Miller’s Kinetic Spine feature, which requires only one adjustment – seat height, leaving it with fewer parts and weighing less than 20 pounds. The Setu’s ‘elastomeric’ (now there’s a word) fabric provides ‘superior suspension’ and is designed to conform to one’s body contours. Miller is seeking Cradle to Cradle and Greenguard certification of this sleek seat, which contains 44 percent recycled content, is 93 percent recyclable, and contains no PVC’s.
