Greenest thing I’ve done this week: Used natural items instead of pesticides to keep bugs out of my house (like cinnamon and nutmeg instead of chemical ant repellant).

Recycling Newspapers in the house.
I had a yard sale and sold my old stuff rather than send it to the landfill.
Among other things, I turned off the a/c and opened the windows of the house!
i’ve eaten every meal totally organic this week!
Used my CSA vegetable scraps to feed the worms in the worm composting bin, for compost to use on my community garden plot.
The other day I installed an energy saver shower head in my bathroom.

I walked to the store rather than driving!
Well, it’s only Tuesday…I’d say the greenest thing I’ve done so far this week is tend to my compost pile – no chemical fertilizers here!
I put in energy efficient light bulbs.
Brought my own bags to the store.
The greenest thing I did this week is to use shredded newspaper as kitty litter! Saves me major $$ and it better for the enviroment.

I bought these new plastic baggies by Ziploc. They say they are made with less plastic and using wind energy…Hope I didn’t fall for a scam and that the extra money was well spent :)
