Lately, we seem to have featured a bunch of women’s fashion on altCon, so I thought I’d post something from Nau‘s fall line for dudes – cause guys have to look good and stay warm, too.
The water repellent, wind resistant and breathable Shroud of Purrin Trench (above left) is comfortably lined. The coat is made of recycled polyester fabric developed by Nau in partnership with Teijin, the fabric supplier behind ECOCIRCLE technology, which weaves stretch fabric from post-consumer and post-industrial polyester waste. Closing the cradle to cradle loop – at the end of its long life the Shroud can be recycled once again into polyester fibers for reuse. (more…)

I was curious to see what products were available in the realm of kitchen composting pails, as the plastic one we are currently using is simply not sufficient. I found three very nice looking pails and one very ugly, bright green one.
All four kitchen composting pails contain a carbon filter to keep odors enclosed within the composting pail (each comes with either a double or triple carbon filter, but extra carbon filters must be purchased separately). Each one also comes with plastic liners that can be used alone or covered with

Still recovering from the cliffhanger ending of last night’s “Rescue Me?” (you know they can’t kill Tommy off -they’d have no show.) Well, continuing with the fireman theme we present the German sustainable fashion line, Feuerwear, which specializes in making bags and accessories from recycled firehose. The bags are tough, functional and exquisitely industrial-looking enough for even the most fussy downtown types. (more…)
