The Sunblazer by Genesis Electronics Group will be a superior solar charger for the i-phone. The release of the product will be in the 1st quarter of 2010 and will also be Apple approved. Genesis also has the patent for the charging method for this device so Novothink could be in a patent violation here.

The charger does indeed store power and dispenses it as needed. Thus the company calls it a "smart solar" device.

This looks like a useful (and green) gadget. Just wondering if you know if there are any risks to your iPhone, in terms of over heating? Can the panel itself store the charge for a while, or do you actually have to place the panel and your iPhone in the Sun for a period of time? If so, I'd be worried for my little genius machine...
