The season of harvest and fall gardening is here as we glean from the fruit of our spring and summer labor in our gardens. And where do I find myself?  In need of a new pair of gloves due to a certain member in my family, who shall remain nameless, claiming mine for their very own.  So I began my hunt for green gloves in conjunction with finding content for my next review.  Not being an inventive type – except perhaps when it comes to cooking or sewing, the fact that some genius thought of recycling 8 oz. plastic water bottles into gloves simply blows me away.  Just think of how many water bottles previously headed for the landfills can now become useful gardening gloves. Hmm…plastic to gloves…pretty amazing.  West County Gardener was the first company in the United States to provide recycled content gloves.  These are the perfect eco friendly gardening gloves.

West County Gardener is now offering three different eco friendly glove styles made out of fabric created from recycled water bottles.  Their New Work, Landscape and Classic gloves all come in the eco friendly version.  They say that one pair of gloves will remove one water bottle from landfills.  Their website gives the step by step process of how they are doing this.  Hopefully, in the future they will offer their waterproof, children’s and rose gardening gloves in their recycled fabric, as well.  Let’s support their efforts to go green

gloves range from $19.95 to $24.95 @ westcountygardener.com
