Project BLUE is generously sponsoring this Great Green Giveaway so we’re spreading the eco love in four different ways. 4 lucky readers will each receive 1 of the following gifts for guys or gals: boardshorts, shades, backpack or tee shirt.

4 Winners, 4 Prizes – enter to win one of the following:
- Billabong Peace (women’s): $39.95; made from recycled plastic bottles
- Billabong Sonic Boom (men’s): $59.50; made from recycled plastic bottles
- O’Neill: $28 (men’s t), $26 (women’s t); organic cotton w/soy based inks; choice includes a limited edition Vote the Ocean t
- Electric polarized shades: $129.95-$169.95, depending on style; eco packaging
- DAKINE surf pack: Oceana (women’s) $75. Recon (men’s) $70; made from (PET), recycled plastic bottles

Seven competitive brands (Billabong, DAKINE, Electric, O’Neill, Famous Wax, Nixon and Reef) in the multi-billion surf dollar industry have come together with a complementary product line under the Project BLUE umbrella to make a difference and clean-up the oceans and beaches. A portion of the proceeds of each sale supports the Surfrider Foundation and their coastline protection initiatives worldwide. This is an awesome brand partnership that’s two years young. Innovations and eco benefits have taken place on several levels — to date, more than 5 million PET bottles have been diverted from landfills and turned into stylish boardshorts using the Eco Supreme Fabric (the same fabric Billabong uses in the project BLUE boardies for men and women). Jump in and get on board.

I filter my own water instead of buying bottled.

i like the 4th one, not to hose down your driveway but instead to sweep it cause the oil and gunk can eventually make it into the ocean. and it does save on water when it swept with a broom instead.
I always drink filtered water and carry it in a reusable steel bottle, and we take bags and backpacks to the store to avoid using plastic bags.
we recycle,i use reusable grocery bags, use less bottled water
One way I’m trying to reduce my personal impact is by having low flow water aerators on my faucets. It reduced the amount of water I use and reduced my energy bill by having to heat less water.

We actually use stainless steel bottles that have a filter enclosed, so even on the go we can still have clean water and go green at the same time!

I bring my own bags to the store. Thank you for the giveaway!
We always use reusable shopping bags.
We have been doing our part for the environment for years. We recycle, we are on our third Pruis. We walked the neighborhood and gather our neighbors discards to recycle. Thanks for the wonderful giveaway.

We recycle, my son always uses a water bottle in his lunch box for school instead of juice boxes, pouches or plastic water bottles.
I always use resuseable grocery bags.
I save and recycle (sell) all aluminum cans.
I never buy bottled water, I pick up any trash I see on the beach and I take my own (cute handknit!) bags to the grocery store.
I try to reduce my environmental impact by recycling everything I can and limiting my amount of trash

I like the idea of when going to the ocean, not only pick up your trash but at least 1 piece of someone elses. We camp alot here in the midwest and that mantra is very similar to “leave a campsite better than when you found it.”
I drink filtered water instead of bottled.

I’ve cut back on my water usage by taking shorter showers and turning off the water while I shampoo and condition my hair, turning off the sink as I brush my teeth, and running my washing machine and dishwasher on more efficient settings.
