Who doesn’t like playing with dough? I met preschool teacher Brittany Shapiro, the owner of Miss Brittany’s Organic Fun Dough at last weekend’s Baby Show NYC, and I love this hip green product, and the way it’s packaged.
Should your toddler shove a chunk of this dough into their little mouth, you don’t have to scramble across a toy filled room to try and apply the Heimlich Maneuver to save the day. Looks yummy for my tummy, or well perhaps not. But it sure looks bright and fun to play with. What is in regular play dough anyway besides an entire salt shaker and food coloring? Are there dangerous ingredients in it?
Who knows? According to Hasbro’s website, “The exact ingredients of PLAY-DOH compound are proprietary, so we cannot share them with you. We can tell you that it is primarily a mixture of water, salt and flour. It does NOT contain peanuts, peanut oil, or any mil byproducts. It DOES contain wheat.

Besides the fun factor for kids, most appealing to me are Miss Brittany’s thoughtful approach to manufacturing — ingredients are organic-based, and the packaging is eco-smart.
