Who knows? According to Hasbro's website, "The exact ingredients of PLAY-DOH compound are proprietary, so we cannot share them with you. We can tell you that it is primarily a mixture of water, salt and flour. It does NOT contain peanuts, peanut oil, or any mil byproducts. It DOES contain wheat.
PLAY-DOH compound is non-toxic, non-irritating and non-allergenic except as noted: Children who are allergic to wheat gluten may have an allergic reaction to this product.
There is no MSDS sheet required for PLAY-DOH compound."

Besides the fun factor for kids, most appealing to me are Miss Brittany's thoughtful approach to manufacturing -- ingredients are organic-based, and the packaging is eco-smart.

Looks yummy for my tummy, or well perhaps not. But it sure looks bright and fun to play with. What is in regular play dough anyway besides an entire salt shaker and food coloring? Are there dangerous ingredients in it?
