Holiday travel is stressful enough. Why not take the sting out of your vacation planning by bookmarking these sites, which lump eco accommodations together and make booking a breeze? You can reference handy tools online this season—like real guest photos and reviews—to help make smart, sustainable decisions in just one stop.

Orbitz Eco Tourism—I’m a big fan of Orbitz’ green micro-site, which lists Energy Stay-rated properties, links you to hybrid rental cars and also allows you to offset your travel—all in one easy place.
Travelocity Green Hotel Directory—An easy-to-scroll-through list of eco hotels make this a cool site to click through when researching green options by region. You can quickly see what’s available whether you’re headed to the west or east coast.

Expedia Green Guide—Expedia uses the Global Baseline for Sustainable Tourism Criteria to list certified stays. It’s a smaller list, but that means it also cuts out the greenwash.
iStayGreen.org—Just because it’s listed here doesn’t mean that it’s green, but the site is focused on eco-friendly hotels and encourages users to give eco friendliness ratings, or one to five “leaves.”

Nice. This is really informative. Although I’m not planning on any vacation in the near future, this might come in handy some day.
