As part of our green your summer series, we’ve compiled a small collection of surfboards designed and manufactured in a more eco conscious manner than your traditional boards.

I must say I really enjoyed this posting. It is great to see new and not typically recyclable materials being manufactured from eco-friendly and recycled materials. I mean if you think about how many people surf… and how many people have ever lost a surf board to a wave… that must be thousands of surf boards just rolling around in the water and eventually breaking down with chemicals entering the water that could potentially harm the environment- it’s mind boggling. It makes me feel a little bit better that not only are we not wasting resources by making them any more but we are preventing ocean pollution by making them ec0 friendly!
I think the reason that the Green community has thrived so well is the open exchange of knowledge resources and Ideas. I know personally I am always looking for new ways to educate myself on what’s going on in the environment and what I can do to lessen human impact.. likewise I am always on the hunt for great eco friendly and green stores. I was blog hopping the other day and came across a similar article over at greeneutopia.com. They had plenty of great info on current green issues and a neat little online store that sold only Green home products. I thought maybe this resource could help other families like mine!
Good Luck and Go Green!
