UPDATE: Congratulations to our winner, Shellie (of Maryland)! Thanks to everyone for participating, and 8Bottles for sponsoring. If you didn’t win this one, never fear – a new Great Green Giveaway is around the corner…so stay tuned.
Rock your recycled world with a finely crafted unisex polo shirt made from 8 recycled plastic bottles. Absolutely no dyes are used to create the green color of the shirts, the color is derived from the bottles themselves. Totally cool in more ways than one — since it has moisture wicking properties, it’s perfect for the links, or just sporting around town.
Thanks to the folks at 8bottles.com, one lucky winner will receive a complimentary polo shirt in his or her choice of size. (Shirts retail for $40 and prize includes free delivery to residents in the USA or Canada.)

Our lucky winner will be selected in our Random Drawing, and notified by email. Contest ends Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 11:59p (EST). Winner has 24 hours to claim their prize, or that offer is null and void. Winner’s name will be included on this post.

Here’s what I learned about PET:
PET stands for Polyethylene terephthalate. It is part of the polyester family and is used in synthetic fibers and for packaging purposes such as food and beverage containers.

As the team leader of our green committee at work and a member of our trade show team, I would love to win this shirt. I could demonstrate that there are alternatives to ordering and wearing the typical polo shirt at trade shows!
I love that the company produces items through recycling.

(I clicked submit too soon! Sorry.)
I’ve been wondering how they made fabric from bottles – loved their presentation showing me exactly how. My husband tends to be at the bottom of the totem pole when it comes to getting new clothes. I’d love to give him a new golf shirt and let him see just how cool recycled products can be.
scary fact:
About 1,600 pounds of trash per person, per year are produced in the United States

I love the way this company makes environmentally-correct items affordable!
I’d love to win this shirt because it would be an environmental conversation starter!
I love how simple the idea is, 8 bottles get turned into one shirt. The name explains it all.
I love that they can do such a cool thing like make a tee with 8 bottles! suelee1998 @gmail.com
the weird thing about drink bottles is their beauty and i love how the shirts keep a ghost of the green color. though it’s probably good they’re not transparent.
The shirt looks nice and I like a company that has additional objectives besides making money!
I like the fact that you can buy new clothes and help the environment at the same time!
I checked out 8 bottles and what I like most about this company is that make new items completely out of recycled items!! I also love that they use recycled packaging. This is a great company! I would like to win cause I care greatly about the environment and I want to cause the least impact that I can :D
