For those of us who were born with eco tendencies, but a pedal-to-the-metal demeanor, there’s now a sultry, new solution.

At the Paris Motor Show, Jaguar unveiled the electric vehicle that we’ve been waiting for… a two-seater that’s got the muscle to go zero to 60 in 3.4 seconds, while boasting a range-extended electric powertrain that will keep even the most die-hard environmentalist from cringing.

Equipped with four electric motors (one for each wheel) that can spur the car to speeds of 205 mph, the new Jaguar C-X75 concept is in part a celebration of the brand’s 75th anniversary. And if this is any glimpse of what’s in store for the future, we can’t wait to see what Jag will reveal next. From it’s sporty good looks to its all-electric driving range of 68 miles, this is one appealingly efficient ride that appears to have mastered the blend of power and purity.

Crafted of aluminum and weighing in just less than 3,000 lbs (battery pack weight included), Jaguar is certainly bringing something new to the table under the ownership of Tata Motors (Jaguar was sold by Ford Motor Co. in 2008). At first glance, the C-X75 may seem a bit Tesla-esque in its looks; which is why we’re holding out hope that Jag’s production electric vehicle really does rely on its 75 year-history of drool-worthy design to produce something just as grand for the masses.  more @ jaguar.com
