Remember the beginning of this year when Frito-Lay launched its new biodegradable Sun Chips bags in hopes of befriending its consumers’ green side? Well, that’s thrown out the window.
Now I know I poked some fun at Frito-Lay for making SUCH a noisy but green bag, (just below). But the company is now actually decreasing its biodegradable bag use to only one of six Sun Chip flavors due to consumer complaints! I feel this is just plain wrong! Am I alone here?
The company was using sustainable bags rather than plastic ones, like most other chip companies — and they get stung while doing something positive for the environment. (Their sales actually decreased because of noise complaints.) For once, it’s not all about you! You being us, humans. You can’t always have your cake (or chip) and eat it, too! I really hope Frito-Lay does not give up on researching alternative bag production methods. Maybe there will be a quieter bag in the makings. I’d love to know your thoughts on this…

This depresses me (which is difficult to do) on soooo many levels.
you have got to be kidding me? really, honestly, too noisy? take your hand out of the bag and pour them in a freaking bowl! oh this makes me crazy. is it really that much of a hardship?
I was concerned about the fact that it was not widely publicized that these biodegradable bags need to composted, not thrown in the trash, they are actually worse for the environment when they end up in a landfill:

I’m so aggravated that I started a Facebook page called Boycott Frito Lay/Sun Chips. We the consumers pay their salaries so if we stop buying them, maybe they will wise up.
